Step 1: Soak the Stain in Cold Water

Start by soaking the stained fabric in cold water for about 15 minutes. This will help remove some of the nail polish from the fabric.

Step 2: Rub Alcohol Into the Stain

Next, moisten a soft cloth with a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Rub stain with the cloth, being sure to apply a bit of pressure so as to break up nail polish further.

Step 3: Rinse the Stain with Cold Water

Rinse the stain with cold water, making sure to keep your motions gentle. You may need to repeat steps two and three multiple times.

Once the nail polish has been lifted from the fabric, launder item as you normally would.
