Removing Nail Polish from Fabrics That Have Not Been Washed Yet

If the fabric has not been washed yet and the nail polish is still wet, start by blotting away as much of the nail polish as possible with a damp cloth or paper towel. Do not rub nail polish; this will only spread the stain further in the material and make it harder to remove.

Once you have blotted away as much of the nail polish as possible, you can try using a few household items to get the rest of stain out. Rubbing alcohol, or even white vinegar, is a great option. Simply dab a cloth in rubbing alcohol or white vinegar and gently apply it to the stain. Let the solution soak in for a few minutes, then wipe away with a damp cloth and let the area air dry.

Removing Nail Polish from Fabrics That Have Been Washed Already

If the fabric has already been washed, you can use a few natural solutions to help remove the nail polish. Soak the stain in a mixture of vinegar and water, then scrub gently with a soft toothbrush. You can also try soaking the stain in a mixture of laundry detergent and water for about 30 minutes. Once you've done that, rinse the fabric with cold water, and you should be able to get most of the nail polish out.

If the stain is still there after these steps, you may need to take your coat to the dry cleaner to make sure it is completely removed.
