The most important part of cleaning nail polish stains is choosing the right cleaning solution. Hydrogen peroxide is a great choice for many stain-fighting needs, and it works well with nail polish too. Other options include rubbing alcohol or even a mild detergent such as dish soap.
Once you’ve selected your cleaning solution, add it to a bowl of warm water and allow the fabric to soak for about 10 minutes. This will help loosen up the stain and make it easier to remove.
Once the fabric has been soaked, use a clean cloth to gently blot area, being careful not to rub the fabric too harshly. This will help to lift the stain from fabric.
Rinse the affected area with cool water, then lay the garment flat to dry. Do not put the fabric in dryer, as this could potentially set the stain.
