Once you've noticed the nail polish stain, grab some clean cloths or paper towels and gently blot stain. Don't scrub, as this will cause the stain to spread. Blotting will help absorb the nail polish without spreading it.
Once you've blotted stain, saturate a clean cloth with rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover. Gently dab the stained area with the cloth, taking care not to spread the stain. If the stain is stubborn, repeat this step several times.
Once you've removed as much of the stain as possible, it's time to pre-treat the area with dishwashing detergent. Make sure to use a mild detergent, as harsh chemicals can damage delicate fabrics. Apply the detergent directly to the stained area and let it sit for 15 minutes to soak in.
When the 15 minutes have passed, rinse the area with cold water. Make sure not to scrub too hard, as this could spread stain. Once stain is gone, rinse the area with warm water to remove all traces of the detergent.
Once the stain is gone, place the blouse in the laundry hamper. It is important to launder the item promptly to prevent any lingering stains from setting. Wash the blouse on the gentle cycle and let it air dry.
Your blouse is now free of nail polish stains and ready to wear! With these simple steps, your clothes will always look squeaky clean.
