Step 1: Blot the Stain

Begin by absorbing as much of the nail polish as possible with a paper towel or napkin. If the color hasn't fully set yet, you can use rubbing alcohol to blot the polished area. Make sure to perform this step carefully and gently so as not to spread the stain further.

Step 2: Detergent Soak Method

Fill a sink with some cool water and add a few drops of laundry detergent. Fully submerge the stained area of clothing and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Afterward, rinse the clothes with cool water to ensure that all residue has been removed from the fabric.

Step 3: Rubbing Alcohol Solution

For tougher stains, you can try using a rubbing alcohol solution. Mix one part rubbing alcohol with one part water in a bowl or spray bottle and spritz it directly onto the affected area. Scrub the stained fabric using a soft brush and allow it to soak for 15-20 minutes before rinsing with cool water.

Step 4: Oxygen Bleach

If the nail polish still remains, use an oxygen bleach solution to break down the stain. Prepare the solution according to the package instructions and mix it with cool water. Use a soft brush to rub the mixture onto the nail polish stain. Wait 15-20 minutes and then wash fabric in washing machine with the hottest temperature setting recommended for that particular garment.
