The first thing you want to do is try to use a stain remover. Whether you use a product specifically made for nail polish or a general all-purpose stain remover, the point is to try and get out as much of the stain as you can. When using stain removers, be sure to read and carefully follow instructions on the package.
White vinegar is another common go-to household item to try and remove stain. To use white vinegar, mix equal parts water and vinegar in a bowl until they are fully combined. Apply the mixture to the stain, either directly or with a cloth. Leave mixture to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing with warm water.
If you’re still having trouble removing the stain, try using baking soda! With baking soda, mix one tablespoon of it with two tablespoons of lukewarm water. Once the mixture is combined, apply it directly onto the stain. Leave it for about 15 minutes, then gently rinse it away with some lukewarm water.
It can be a nightmare when you accidentally get nail polish on your precious Alexander McQueen garments, but don’t worry - there are ways to help remove stain. Try using a stain remover, white vinegar, or baking soda to help get rid of the stain. With patience and the right techniques, that nasty nail polish stain won't be around for long.
