Tools You'll Need

  • Dishwashing liquid or detergent
  • White vinegar or hydrogen peroxide
  • Laundry brush
  • Clean white cloth or paper towels

Step by Step instructions

  1. As soon as possible, soak up excess mustard with a clean white cloth or paper towel.
  2. Run cold water over the stain from the back side of the fabric, taking care not to spread the stain.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid or detergent and two tablespoons of white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide.
  4. Dip a laundry brush into the mixture and gently scrub the stain from the back side of the fabric in a circular motion.
  5. Rinse fabric with cold water and repeat steps 3 and 4 until the stain has been removed.
  6. For heavily stained fabric, allow the fabric to soak in the solution for 30 minutes before rinsing.
  7. Once stain is gone, wash the wrap dress in cold water according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Additional Tips

  • If the stain persists, try using an enzyme-based pre-treatment.
  • Do not put the wrap dress in the dryer until all traces of stain have been completely removed.
