  • Mild dish detergent
  • Lemon juice
  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda

Removing Mustard Stains Step by Step

  1. As soon as possible, rinse the stain with cold water until it runs clear.
  2. Mix a solution of equal parts mild dish detergent and lemon juice.
  3. Use a clean cloth to gently rub the liquid in to the affected area.
  4. Rinse with cold water and check for remaining stain.
  5. Mix a solution of white vinegar and baking soda, and rub into the stain.
  6. Leave to sit until the fizzing stops, then rinse garment with cold water.
  7. Launder the item on the highest water temperature recommended for that fabric type.
