Materials Needed

  • White cloth
  • Bowl
  • Warm water
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Enzyme detergent
  • Cotton swabs
  • Towel

Steps for Cleaning

  1. Create a mixture of equal parts warm water and dishwashing liquid in a bowl.
  2. Soak the stained area of the lace in mixture for 15-30 minutes.
  3. After soaking, dip a white cloth in enzyme detergent and use it to lightly scrub the stained area.
  4. Rinse stained area with warm water.
  5. Use cotton swabs dampened with warm water to gently remove any remaining stain.
  6. Lay the lace flat on a towel and allow to air dry.

With these simple steps, you can clean a mustard stain from your Venetian lace with ease. The key is to act quickly and gently – if stain sets in, it can be more difficult to remove.
