Carefully scrape off any excess mustard using the back of a spoon. Don't use too much pressure as you don’t want to drive the mustard further into fabric.
Take a clean, damp cloth and carefully blot the stain until it is barely visible. Do not scrub the stain, as this will only spread the stain deeper into the fabric.
Take some liquid laundry detergent, either store bought or laundry soap you have made yourself, and put a few drops directly onto the stain. Now, taking a clean and slightly damp cloth, gently rub the detergent in a circular motion. Once you’re done, let the detergent sit for about 15 - 20 minutes.
Rinse area with cool water. Then, follow the instructions on the garment tag, and either hand wash or machine wash the tunic. Dry the tunic according to the instructions on the tag.
