If you’re dealing with a fresh stain, then you’ll need to start by scraping away as many of the solid particles as possible. Use a butter knife or spoon to carefully remove any solids.
Once you’ve scraped off all of the solids, it’s time to pre-treat the stain. The best way to do this is to soak the stained area in a solution of cold water and dish soap for at least 15 minutes. If the stain is particularly stubborn, you can apply more dish soap directly to the spot.
After pre-treating the stained area, it’s time to wash the entire tracksuit. Check the garment's care label for the best way to wash and dry your tracksuit. You may be able to machine-wash, but if not, you’ll need to hand-wash the garment using cool water and a mild detergent. Do not put the tracksuit in the dryer until the stain has been completely removed.
If the stain is still visible after washing, repeat steps two and three until stain is gone. You may also want to try a stain-remover designed specifically for mustard stains. This can be found at most grocery stores or online.
It depends on the fabric and care instructions for the tracksuit. Check the label for the best way to wash and dry your garment.
For best results, use a mild detergent such as Woolite or Dawn.
