Whether you accidentally spilled mustard on your shirt while enjoying a hot dog or it smudged onto your Tommy Hilfiger jeans from a takeout container, dealing with mustard stains can be daunting. Don’t worry, you can easily get rid of such stains if you treat them promptly.
What You Need
- Cold water
- Laundry detergent
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Old toothbrush
- Color safe bleach
- Towel
Steps to Remove Mustard Stains from Tommy Hilfiger Apparel
- Rinse the mustards stain with cold water as soon as possible, preferably before washing the garment in a washing machine.
- Pour some liquid laundry detergent onto stained area, then gently rub it with your fingers.
- Rinse the garment with cold water until all traces of the laundry detergent have been removed.
- Create a mixture by combining equal parts of white vinegar and cold water in a bowl.
- Soak the garment in vinegar solution for 15-30 minutes.
- Wring out the garment and rinse it under cold running water.
- If the stain persists, dip an old toothbrush into a mixture of baking soda and water. Gently brush stained area with the baking soda paste, in a circular motion.
- Rinse the garment once again with cold water.
- Mix a few drops of color-safe bleach with cold water in a bowl. Dip the garment into mixture for 10-15 minutes.
- Take a towel and blot away the moisture from stained area.
- Allow the garment to air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
