Start by scraping off as much of the stain as possible with a spoon or butter knife. Be careful to avoid spreading the stain even further in the fabric.
Next, create a paste that is a mix of 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 4 tablespoons of cold water. Gently rub this paste into the stain, leaving it on the fabric for around 10 minutes.
Rinse out the remaining paste with some cold water and then dab the area with a wet cloth to remove any residual paste. Finally, you can use a mild detergent to completely remove the stain. Once all the detergent is removed, you can either air dry or machine wash your tights using normal settings.
Follow these simple steps and you will be able to successfully remove any stubborn mustard stains from your favorite tights.
