If the mustard stain is still wet, rinse it with cool water as soon as possible. It is important to do this right away because if you wait too long, stain will start to set which makes it much harder to remove.
After rinsing stain, apply a pre-treatment or stain remover to the spot. Let it sit for a few minutes before washing it.
Once the stain remover has been applied, wash thong in cool water using the gentle cycle on your washing machine. You can also add a little bit of detergent, but make sure it's a mild detergent so that it doesn't damage the delicate fabric of the thong.
To make sure the stain has been completely removed, hang the thong up in a dry, airy place. This will prevent the stain from setting further and ensure it comes out completely.
