What You'll Need
- Mild detergent.
- White vinegar.
- Bucket filled with lukewarm water.
- Clean white cloth.
- Sponge.
Instructions
- Mix two tablespoons of mild detergent in a bucket filled with lukewarm water.
- Soak the stained area for 15 minutes.
- Rinse the fabric thoroughly with cold water.
- Mix one tablespoon of white vinegar in the same bucket of water.
- Dip a clean white cloth in the solution and dab the stained area gently.
- Use a sponge to scrub away any stubborn stains - be sure to move in circular motions.
- Rinse fabric with cold water once again.
- Check the stains before drying; if there are any remaining, repeat the procedure again.
- Dry the fabric normally, or hang outside to dry.
Tips
- Do not use hot water, as this can cause the stain to set in.
- Always test the solutions on an inconspicuous area of the garment first.
- Using a stain remover specially formulated for mustard stains is also an option.
