The first step is to rinse the stain with cold water before the mustard has the time to settle into the fabric. Make sure to rinse the stain thoroughly and repeat process if necessary. Avoid using hot water as it will just set the stain.
The next step is to apply a gentle, colorless detergent directly to the stain. Massage the detergent into the fabric and then rinse the stain with cold water. Make sure to avoid using hot water as this will only set the stain.
Once the detergent has been rinsed off, you can then apply white vinegar to the stain. Simply pour a small amount of white vinegar onto stained area and let it sit for a few minutes. Once the vinegar has had time to work, rinse the fabric with cold water.
Once the vinegar has been rinsed away, you can then proceed with washing t-shirt. Place the t-shirt in washing machine and make sure to use a gentle cycle. If stain is still visible after the cycle is finished, simply repeat the entire process.
Once the t-shirt has been washed and dried, you can then take a closer look at the stain to see if it has been successfully removed. If the stain is still visible, try repeating the cleaning steps listed above. If the stain still won't come out, you may need to seek professional cleaning services.
Mustard stains can be stubborn, but they don't have to be impossible to remove. With the right approach and the right cleaning materials, you can easily restore your favorite t-shirt's original look.
