If the stain is still wet, you can use a cloth or paper towel to blot it up as soon as possible. This will help prevent stain from spreading or seeping further into the fabric.
Mix a bit of mild detergent or liquid laundry soap with cold water and use the mixture to gently scrub the stained area. Be sure to work the solution into the fabric evenly and gently, avoiding brushing or rubbing too hard against the fabric. After scrubbing, rinse the area thoroughly with cold water and dry with a clean towel.
If the mustard stain persists after you've finished these steps, repeat them until the stain has been successfully removed. You can also try adding a bit of white vinegar to soap and water solution before scrubbing the stain a second time.
