Create a mixture of white vinegar and cold water. The ratio of vinegar to water should be 1:3. Gently dab the stained area with a rag soaked in this solution. Leave the fabric to soak for 15 minutes. This will help to loosen the stain so it is easier to remove.
Rinse away the vinegar solution with cold water. Rinse and blot until all of the vinegar has been removed from the fabric.
Once all of the vinegar has been removed, you can now treat the stain with laundry detergent or a pre-treatment product. Gently rub detergent into the stain using a soft bristled brush. If using a pre-treatment product, follow the instructions on the bottle.
After you’ve treated the stain, pop your sundress in the washing machine and launder as usual. For best results, use cool or warm water and wash with like colors.
Once cycle has finished, take out your sundress and air dry. Do not put it in the dryer, as this may set stain.
