Step 1: Gather Your Cleaning Supplies

The first step is to get all the supplies you need. You'll need a container, some lukewarm water, a few tablespoons of dye-free liquid detergent, and a sponge. Don't use a colored sponge or else it may cause color transfer.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

Mix together a couple tablespoons of liquid detergent with a bit of lukewarm water in the container. Dip the sponge into the mixture, and then gently blot the stain. Do not rub, as it will cause the stain to spread.

Step 3: Rinse with Water

Once you're done pre-treating stain, rinse the area with lukewarm water. Make sure to rinse thoroughly and use a clean towel to dab away any excess moisture.

Step 4: Apply Stain Remover

If the stain hasn't disappeared after pre-treating and rinsing the area, it's time to go one step further. Use a specialty stain remover designed specifically for delicate fabrics and apply it directly onto the stain. Let it sit for 10 minutes before wiping off.

Step 5: Launder as Usual

After pre-treating, rinsing and applying the stain remover (if necessary), toss the garment into the washing machine and launder as usual. Use cold water and the gentlest cycle possible. When you're done, simply hang up to air dry, and the stain should be gone!
