Mustard stains, like other food stains, can be difficult to remove--especially from delicate fabrics like silk. But with the right approach, it's possible to remove those pesky mustard stains from your silk gazar without any damage. Here's what you need to do:
- Start by gently scraping away as much of the mustard as possible. Do not use anything sharp or abrasive.
- Soak a cloth in lukewarm water and wring it out. Dab affected area with the damp cloth until the stain is removed.
- Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and lukewarm water and apply to the stained area using a clean cloth.
- For tougher stains, mix a solution of 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid, 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, 2 cups of warm water, and 1/4 teaspoon of washing soda.
- Once the stain is gone, rinse with cold water and blot dry with a towel.
- If the stain has been set in, apply a commercial spot remover according to instructions given and rinse again with cold water.
- Allow the fabric to air dry completely before wearing.
With these steps, you'll be able to easily remove those unsightly mustard stains and keep your silk gazar looking its best!
