Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

You'll need the following items to clean your shoes:

  • Mild detergent
  • Bucket of warm water
  • Soft bristled brush
  • Clean, dry cloth

Step 2: Prepare the Detergent Mixture

Combine one tablespoon of mild detergent in a bucket of warm water. Be sure to mix detergent and water until everything is thoroughly combined.

Step 3: Remove Excess Mustard

Using a clean cloth, blot away any excess mustard from shoe. Be sure to avoid rubbing or scrubbing the area to prevent spreading stain.

Step 4: Soak the Shoe

Place the shoe in the detergent mixture and allow it to soak for 30 minutes. This will help loosen and remove any stubborn stains.

Step 5: Scrub the Stained Area

Once the shoe has finished soaking, take a soft bristled brush and gently scrub the stained area. Pay special attention to any areas where the mustard has caked on. As you scrub, the stain should start to come off.

Step 6: Rinse the Shoe

Once you've finished scrubbing the shoe, rinse it off with warm water. Be sure to rinse away any remaining detergent residue.

Step 7: Dry Shoe

Take a clean, dry cloth and wipe down the shoe. Allow the shoe to air dry overnight, and the stain should be completely gone.
