Start by pre-treating the stain with a laundry stain remover spray. Apply the spray directly onto the mustard stain and let it sit for 5 minutes. This will help break down the stain before you wash it.
After pre-treating stain, you should add your rash guard to washing machine. Use warm water and a gentle detergent, as hot water can set the stain further. Make sure to read the care label on your rash guard and use proper settings.
During the washing cycle, check on the progress of stain. You may need to add additional stain remover or run the garment through an additional wash cycle. Repeat the process of pre-treating and washing until the stain is gone.
Once the stain is removed, air dry your rash guard instead of using dryer. This will ensure that there are no residual mustard stains on the garment. Once it has air dried, inspect it closely to ensure the stain is completely gone.
Getting mustard stains out of rash guards can take time and patience. Don’t be discouraged if stain doesn’t come out right away. Keep repeating the same steps and eventually, you’ll be able to get rid of stain.
