Create a cleaning solution by mixing two teaspoons of dishwashing liquid and one quart of cold water. Dip the damp cloth into the solution and lightly dab the stained area.
Gently scrub the stained area with a soft toothbrush. This will help lift the stain from the fabric. Rinse and repeat if necessary.
Rinse the stained area with cold water. If you notice that stain remains, repeat Steps One and Two.
If the stain is still present after rinsing, make a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts cold water and soak the affected area for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water afterwards.
Lay the shoes flat in a well-ventilated area. Allow the shoes to air-dry completely before wearing them again.
