Rubbing alcohol is often a go-to for removing a stubborn stain like mustard from your polo shirt. All you need to do is dampen the affected area with a bit of rubbing alcohol and rub it in gently with a clean cloth or paper towel. You should see stain coming out within minutes. Once done, rinse off shirt and wash as usual – your polo should look good as new!
This combination is great for tougher stains, such as those that have been left on for too long. Start by soaking the shirt in cold water for at least 15 minutes to pre-treat the stain. Then, mix equal parts white vinegar and dish soap, and rub it into the stain. In around 5 minutes, you should start to see the stain coming out – if not, simply add a bit more of the mixture, and leave it on for a few more minutes before rinsing off and washing.
This natural concoction is perfect for those who prefer to stay away from harsher chemicals. Start by mixing one tablespoon of baking powder and one tablespoon of lemon juice together, and stir until it forms a paste. Rub this paste into the mustard stain and let it sit for about 20 minutes. When the time is up, rinse off the shirt and wash as usual. Your polo should come out looking just as good as before.
Mustard stains don’t have to be a headache – simply follow the steps above and you should have no trouble getting rid of them quickly and efficiently. You’ll be able to keep your favourite polo shirt in pristine condition and enjoy wearing it for years to come without any problem. Good luck!
