What You’ll Need

  • Dish soap

Removing the Stain

  1. Begin by dabbing up any excess mustard with paper towels or a white cloth.
  2. Mix several drops of dish soap and a cup of cold water together, and then use the cloth to apply it to the stain.
  3. Blot the stain lightly and gently to avoid pushing the mustard further into the fabric.
  4. Rinse the soap in cold water, and then blot again with a clean cloth.
  5. If stain is still visible, use a dry cleaning solvent and a sponge to remove it.
  6. When the stain is gone, rinse the solvent off with cold water and press it with a clean cloth.

Drying Fabric

Peau de Soie should always be properly dried after it’s been washed or cleaned. Gently hang the fabric up and allow it to air-dry. Avoid using a hairdryer, as this could damage the fabric.
