Mustard can be a bane for any clothing item, especially delicate materials like leather. There are lots of ways to tackle a mustard stain, but it’s important to know the correct technique as well as the right materials and cleaning agents in order to avoid any damage to the shoe material. The good news is, with a few simple steps, you can be free of the stain and enjoy wearing your shoes again in no time.

What You Will Need:

  • A soft cloth or sponge
  • Glycerin soap
  • Clean warm water
  • Dry cloth
  • Baby powder

Instructions:

  1. Remove excess mustard from the surface of your Oxfords using a soft cloth or sponge.
  2. Mix a solution of glycerin soap and warm water and apply to the stain using a clean cloth. Gently rub the stain in a circular motion until mustard starts to lift off.
  3. Rinse the area with clean warm water and use a dry cloth to absorb any moisture.
  4. Apply some baby powder to the area and leave the Oxfords alone overnight.
  5. When ready, brush off the powder and voila – your Oxfords should be good as new!
