Before beginning any cleaning process, it’s important to blot stain. Use a clean cloth to absorb as much mustard as possible from the stain. Hold the fabric taut while pressing the cloth against the stain in order to avoid making stain worse.
Once you have blotted away some of the mustard, prepare a solution of 1 part white vinegar and 3 parts cold water in a bowl. Then, soak the stained area in solution for around 15 minutes. This will help break up the stain and make it easier to eliminate.
Once you have finished soaking the stain, pre-treat the area with a laundry detergent specifically designed for pre-washing. Rub the detergent into marked area and let it work for 5 minutes. This will help to reduce the visibility of the stain.
Finally, you’re ready to wash your garment. Place item in the washing machine on the lowest temperature setting using mild detergent and cold water. If the stain persists after drying, you can repeat the process for complete removal.
