Organza is one of the most delicate and beautiful fabrics, but its light weave makes it susceptible to staining. Mustard stains can be particularly difficult to remove without damaging the organza fabric.

When faced with a mustard stain on your organza clothing, first scrape off any excess mustard with a butter knife or spoon. Then, test a small patch of organza in an inconspicuous area with the following cleaning solutions.
If the stain is not completely removed, it may be better to take your garment to a professional dry cleaner. Make sure to inform your dry cleaner that you wish for the garment to be hand washed and not put through a regular laundry cycle. Organic solvents and enzyme presoaks should also be avoided when cleaning organza.
Most importantly, keep organza garments away from direct heat sources, such as radiators or clothes driers. Heat will cause organza fabrics to weaken and fray, so it’s best to hang organza fabrics to allow them to air dry.
