Mustard stains are usually a very bright yellow color, which can make them stand out even more on your light-colored loafers. Fortunately, mustard stains can be removed with just a few simple steps.

What You'll Need

To remove mustard stains from your loafers, you'll need the following things:

  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Cotton swabs
  • A clean cloth or sponge

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Use a clean cloth or sponge to blot stain. Blotting with a cloth or sponge will help to absorb some of the mustard residue, making it easier to remove.

Step 2: Make a Vinegar and Baking Soda Paste

In a small bowl, mix together equal parts white vinegar and baking soda to create a thick paste. Make sure to use white vinegar, as it is milder than other types of vinegar.

Step 3: Apply the Paste to the Stain

Using a cotton swab, apply the paste to the mustard stain on your loafers. Gently rub the paste into the stain with the cotton swab.

Step 4: Allow the Paste to Sit

Allow the paste to sit on the stain for at least 15 minutes. This will give the paste time to break down the stain.

Step 5: Rinse and Dry

Rinse the paste off of the stain with warm water and pat the area dry with a clean cloth or towel. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps two through five until it is no longer visible.

Conclusion

Removing mustard stains from your loafers doesn't have to be difficult. With right supplies and the proper technique, you can restore your loafers to their former glory in no time!
