If you've recently spilled mustard on your jersey, chances are it has gone unnoticed until now. Don't panic! With a few easy steps and household ingredients, you can quickly and easily remove mustard stain. First, read the care label on your jersey to make sure that you follow the instructions properly. If the care label says to wash the jersey in cold water, then use cold water and a mild detergent to pre-treat the stain. Then fill a bucket or sink with warm water and add a few drops of liquid dish soap. Add your jersey to the soapy water and let it soak for 5-10 minutes. Next, grab an old toothbrush and begin to gently scrub away at the stained area until the stain begins to lift. Don't scrub too hard as this may cause damage to fabric. After scrubbing, rinse the jersey in cold water and repeat the process if necessary. Once the stain is removed, fill a clean sink or bucket with cold water and add a few tablespoons of white vinegar. Place your jersey into the vinegar solution and let it soak for about 30 minutes. This will help to remove odours and further remove the stubborn mustard stain. Finally, wash the jersey in a washing machine according to the care label instructions. Once complete, hang the jersey up to dry or put it in the dryer with low heat. And there you have it! Now you know how to effectively get rid of mustard stains from your jersey.
