Using Laundry Detergent

If the stained hair tie is made of fabric, then using laundry detergent is one of the most effective ways to remove mustard stains from it. Start by squeezing a small amount of laundry detergent onto the stain. Let it sit for about 10 minutes before gently scrubbing it with a soft cloth or toothbrush. Once done, rinse thoroughly with water.

Using White Vinegar

White vinegar is another great option when removing mustard stains from fabric hair ties. Start by dabbing some white vinegar onto the stained area. Allow it to sit for about10-15 minutes. Soak the stained hair tie in cold water for 30 minutes. Finally, rinse with warm water and check if the stain is gone.

Using Dishwashing Liquid

Dishwashing liquid is a great option when removing mustard stains from plastic hair ties. Start by mixing 1 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid with 2 cups of warm water. Dip the stained hair tie in the mixture and let it soak for 10 minutes. Take it out and scrub stained area gently with a soft cloth or toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Using Baking Soda

Baking soda is also a great option for removing mustard stains from hair ties. Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 2 cups of warm water. Dip the stained hair tie in the mixture and let it soak for 10 minutes. Take it out and scrub the stained area gently with a soft cloth or toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
