Before attempting to remove a mustard stain from your espadrilles, you will need to gather some supplies. These include:
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Soft-bristled scrub brush
- Clean cloths or towels
- Dishwashing liquid or laundry detergent
Steps to Remove Mustard Stains from Espadrilles
- Scrape off any excess mustard from the espadrilles with a soft-bristled brush or spoon. Be careful not to spread the stain.
- Combine equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and wring out until damp.
- Blot stained area of the espadrilles with the damp cloth. Continue until the stain is gone.
- If the stain persists, mix one tablespoon of baking soda with two tablespoons of water to form a paste. Using a clean cloth, apply the paste directly to the stain and scrub lightly in a circular motion. Rinse with a damp cloth.
- If the stain is still visible, mix one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid or laundry detergent with two cups of warm water in a bowl. Soak a clean cloth in the mixture and apply to the stained area. Leave for 10 minutes before rinsing with a damp cloth.
