  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Soft-bristled scrub brush
  • Clean cloths or towels
  • Dishwashing liquid or laundry detergent

Steps to Remove Mustard Stains from Espadrilles

  1. Scrape off any excess mustard from the espadrilles with a soft-bristled brush or spoon. Be careful not to spread the stain.
  2. Combine equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and wring out until damp.
  3. Blot stained area of the espadrilles with the damp cloth. Continue until the stain is gone.
  4. If the stain persists, mix one tablespoon of baking soda with two tablespoons of water to form a paste. Using a clean cloth, apply the paste directly to the stain and scrub lightly in a circular motion. Rinse with a damp cloth.
  5. If the stain is still visible, mix one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid or laundry detergent with two cups of warm water in a bowl. Soak a clean cloth in the mixture and apply to the stained area. Leave for 10 minutes before rinsing with a damp cloth.
  6. Allow the espadrilles to air dry before wearing.
