What You'll Need

  • Dish soap
  • Old toothbrush
  • Warm water
  • Soft towel
  • White vinegar

Steps for Cleaning Mustard Stains from Earplugs

  1. Begin by wetting the earplug with warm water. This will help to loosen any mustard that may have built up over time.
  2. Squeeze a generous amount of dish soap onto the earplug, enough to sufficiently coat it. Then take your old toothbrush and begin scrubbing the earplug in circular motion.
  3. You can add a bit more dish soap to the toothbrush if needed. Continue to scrub until you’re satisfied that all of the mustard has been removed.
  4. Rinse the earplug with warm water and pat dry with a soft towel. Tears, lint, and fuzz can all be removed with towel.
  5. For any remaining stains, mix one part white vinegar with two parts warm water and dip the earplug into the mixture. Let it sit for a few minutes before taking it out and rinsing it thoroughly with warm water.

Conclusion

Mustard stains on earplugs can be difficult to remove, but with the right supplies and a bit of patience, you can easily get them out. Try the steps above to make sure that your earplugs are free of any mustard stains.
