Make a baking soda paste by combining two parts baking soda with one-part water. Apply the paste directly onto the stain, allow it to sit for about 5 minutes and then gently scrub the paste away with a soft brush. For added effectiveness, use a mixture of one tablespoon of white vinegar and two cups of water. Spray the mixture onto the stain, allow it to sit for a few minutes, and then scrub away with the baking soda paste.
Soak the stained area in a solution of one part lemon juice and one part water. Let the fabric soak for 10 minutes, and then rinse away solution in cold water. This method works better with fresh stains.
Create a detergent solution with 3 tablespoons of laundry detergent and one gallon of cold water. Soak the fabric in the solution for an hour and then rinse the fabric with cold water. Wring out the fabric and lay it flat to dry. Do not put it in the dryer as heat could make the stain permanent.
Soak the fabric in a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water for at least 30 minutes and up to an hour. Rinse fabric with cold water and lay it flat to dry.
