- Paper towels or a cloth rag
- Cleaning solution
- White vinegar
- A soft-bristled brush
Steps To Remove Mustard Stains from Dashiki
- As soon as you can, blot the mustard stain with paper towels or a cloth rag.
- Mix a solution of two parts water and one part white vinegar, and apply it to the stain with a soft-bristled brush.
- Rinse the area with clean cool water using the brush.
- If the stain persists, create a paste using baking soda and cool water, and apply it to the stained area. Allow it to sit for 10–15 minutes, then rinse and lightly brush the area.
- Repeat this process until the stain has been completely removed.
- Allow the garment to air dry or use a fan or hair dryer on a low setting.

- Whenever possible, hand wash your Dashikis.
- If machine washing, use cold water and gentle detergent and place in a garment bag.
- Hang dry or dry flat. Avoid putting your Dashiki in the dryer.
