How to Remove Mustard Stains from Cotton Lawn Quickly and Easily
Mustard stains can be stubborn and difficult to remove from cotton lawn fabric, but with the right approach and some patience, you can get your clothing looking like new again.

It’s no secret that mustard is a messy condiment. When it comes into contact with delicate fabrics like cotton lawn, the consequences can be disastrous. However, with the right approach, you can remove pesky mustard stains from this fabric with relative ease.
What You'll Need:
- Dish soap
- White vinegar
- Oxygen bleach powder
- Liquid laundry detergent
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Baking soda
- Clean cloth
Instructions:
- As soon as possible, rinse the stained area with cold water. This will help to remove some of the excess mustard residue.
- Apply a few drops of dish soap to the stain and rub gently with a clean cloth.
- Blot the area with a damp cloth to absorb any remaining moisture.
- Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl. Soak a clean cloth in this mixture and apply it to the stain.
- Sprinkle a small amount of oxygen bleach powder over the stain. Allow the powder to sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Rinse the area with cold water and blot it dry with a clean cloth.
- If stain persists, combine 2 teaspoons of liquid laundry detergent with 2 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide. Apply this paste to the stain, let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
- If the stain is still visible, mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of water. Rub the paste over the stain, let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
- Repeat the above steps until the stain has been removed.
With some patience and the right approach, you can easily remove mustard stains from cotton lawn fabric.
