How to Banish Mustard Stains Once and for All from Cotton Canvas

When mustard stains begin to spread across a favorite canvas item, it can be incredibly disheartening. Despite the upsetting nature of the situation, all is not lost. With careful attention, some simple tools and a few household ingredients, you can have your cotton canvas looking good as new in no time.

What You'll Need:

  • Laundry Detergent
  • Liquid Chlorine Bleach
  • A Small Bowl
  • Soft Bristle Brush
  • A Towel

Instructions:

  1. Mix a solution of laundry detergent and a cup of lukewarm water in a small bowl.
  2. Dip a soft bristled brush into the solution, and scrub mustard stain gently.
  3. Lay the fabric flat on a dry towel, and rinse both sides with clean water.
  4. If the stain remains, mix 1 tablespoon of liquid chlorine bleach with 1 quart of water and blot the stain with the mixture
  5. Rinse the fabric on both sides, and then allow it to air dry.

By following these steps, you can remove even the most sinister mustard stains from your favorite cotton canvas items.
