Steps for Removing Mustard Stains from Chiffon
- First, try to blot the stain as much as possible with a paper towel or lint-free cloth.
- Mix one teaspoon of liquid laundry detergent with two cups of cold water.
- Dip a clean, lint-free cloth into the detergent mixture and gently dab the stained area.
- Rinse the stained area with cold water and repeat the dabbing process until the stain has disappeared.
- If stain is still there, try soaking the garment in a basin of warm (not hot) water mixed with 1/4 cup of white vinegar and a tablespoon of salt.
- Let the chiffon fabric soak in the solution for 30 minutes.
- Check the stain after 30 minutes and if it’s still there, repeat the soaking process.
- Once the stain is gone, rinse the fabric again and lay it flat to dry.
