Removing Mustard Stains from Chantilly Lace
- Blot Stain Immediately - Using a dry towel, gently blot the stained area until no more of the mustard is transferred to the towel.
- Mix Detergent Solution - Mix one tablespoon of a detergent that is designed for delicates with two cups of cold water in a bowl. Stir until detergent has dissolved.
- Apply Detergent Solution - Dip a clean cloth into the detergent solution and dab at the affected area until the entire stained area has been saturated with solution.
- Rinse With Cold Water - Place the clothing in the sink and run cold water over the stained area until all of the detergent has been rinsed away.
- Dry the Lace - Lay the Chantilly lace on a clean, dry towel and let it air dry. Do not put it in the dryer, as the heat can cause permanent damage to the lace.
