Step-by-Step Guide for Removing Mustard From Cashmere

  1. Start by scraping off any excess mustard with a butter knife or spoon.
  2. Mix a gentle laundry detergent, enzyme pre-treater and oxygen bleach (optional) in a bowl of lukewarm water.
  3. Submerge the stained area of the cashmere clothing in solution and let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Gently rub the fabric together in the solution to help loosen mustard stain.
  5. Rinse garment in lukewarm water.
  6. If the stain persists, create a paste of baking soda and warm water, rub it into the stained area, and then rinse it off.
  7. Finally, dab the area with a cloth and run it through washing machine on a delicate cycle using a mild detergent.
