Step 1: Blot Fresh Mustard Stains

The first step to successfully cleaning mustard stains from a camisole is to blot the stain with a clean cloth or paper towel. Do NOT rub the stain as this will only spread the stain further and make it more difficult to remove.

Step 2: Apply Detergent

Next, pour a small amount of liquid laundry detergent directly onto the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. This will help break down stain and make it easier to remove.

Step 3: Pretreat with Non-Chlorine Bleach

If the stain is still there after step 2, you can try pretreating it with a non-chlorine bleach. Apply a small amount of non-chlorine bleach directly onto stained area and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then, flush the area with cold water to rinse away the bleach and any remaining stain.

Step 4: Apply Stain Remover

If the stain is still visible after steps 1-3, you can try using a stain remover to help lift the stain. Make sure to read and follow the instructions on the stain remover for best results.

Step 5: Launder as Usual

Once the stain has been removed, you can launder the camisole as you normally would. If the stain is still present, you may want to try repeating the steps above or take item to a professional cleaner.
