The first step to removing mustard stains is to identify what type of fabric the bra is made out of. Different fabrics require different approaches to cleaning, so knowing what type of fabric you’re dealing with is essential.
Once you know what kind of fabric your bra is made of, you can start to pretreat the mustard stain by gently applying a drop of gentle detergent or dishwashing liquid directly to the stain. Let the solution sit on the stain for a few minutes before rinsing with warm water.
Next, launder your bras carefully according to the care instructions. Wash all of your bras together on delicate cycle and use an appropriate and mild laundry detergent. If you’re still worried about the stain, try adding a little white vinegar to the wash cycle for extra stain-fighting power.
Finally, make sure that you dry your bras properly. Avoid using the dryer if possible and opt instead to air-dry your bras so they don’t shrink or become misshapen due to the heat.
By taking these four simple steps, you can easily remove mustard stains from your bras without ruining them. With a little bit of pretreating, laundering and drying, you'll have your bras back in pristine condition in no time!
