Removing Fresh Mustard Stains

  1. Before you do anything, take a damp cloth and try to blot up the excess mustard.
  2. Once you’ve blotted away as much of the mustard as you can, prepare a solution of two parts water, one part white vinegar.
  3. Using a clean cloth dipped in the vinegar solution, gently scrub stained areas.
  4. Once you’ve applied vinegar solution and scrubbed it onto stain, take a damp cloth and rinse the solution off.
  5. Once rinsed, use a towel to gently pat affected area dry.

Removing Set-in Mustard Stains

  1. Take a damp cloth and try to wipe off as much of the excess mustard as you can.
  2. Mix together one teaspoon of clear dish-washing liquid into one pint of warm water.
  3. Dip a soft, clean cloth into soapy solution and dab the stained areas gently.
  4. Continue to dab the area until the stain has transferred onto the cloth.
  5. Once the stain is gone, use a towel to gently pat the affected area so that any remaining solution can evaporate.
