First, you’ll need these supplies:

  • Paper towels or a clean cloth
  • Mild detergent
  • Water
  • A toothbrush

Once you have everything gathered, it’s time to begin cleaning. First, use a paper towel or clean cloth to blot away as much of the mustard as possible. Be sure to use gentle pressure in order to avoid spreading the stain further.

Next, create a mixture of the mild detergent and warm water. Dip the toothbrush into the mixture and lightly scrub area where the mustard stain is located. Be sure to take care not to scrub too harshly, as this could damage the material of your backpack.

Once the area is thoroughly scrubbed, rinse off any remaining detergent with a damp cloth. Pat the area dry with a clean cloth and allow the backpack to air dry completely before using.

Following these instructions should help you get rid of any pesky mustard stains on your backpack. If the stain doesn’t come out the first time, don’t worry! You may just need to repeat the process again.
