- Treat the stain as soon as possible. Blot or scrape off any excess mustard with a spoon, and then use a moist cloth or paper towel to gently dab at the stain.
- To pre-treat the remaining stain, spray a spot treatment onto stained area and let it sit for five minutes.
- Create a mixture of one teaspoon of dish soap, one cup of water and a tablespoon of white vinegar.
- Using a cloth or brush, scrub the stain in a gentle, circular motion.
- Once you've removed as much of the stain as possible, rinse area and then dry it with a clean cloth.
- Finally, if there's still a slight discoloration, dab the area with hydrogen peroxide and let it sit for five minutes.
