How To Clean Mustard Stains From Aeropostale

  1. As with any stain, the first step should be to scrape off as much of the mustard as possible with a dull knife or spoon. Be sure not to rub the stain, as this can spread it.
  2. Soak the stained area of garment in cold water for approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare a paste with 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of warm water. Gently rub the paste into the stain.
  4. Rinse the area with cold water, taking care not to spread the stain.
  5. Again, soak stained area in cold water for 30 minutes.
  6. Apply a small amount of laundry detergent to the stain and use a brush to scrub it gently.
  7. Rinse out the detergent, then launder the garment as usual.

If the stain persists, repeat steps until it is gone. If all else fails, seek professional advice from a dry cleaner. Fortunately, many dry cleaners offer special services to remove stubborn mustard stains.
