How To Clean Mustard Stains From Aeropostale
- As with any stain, the first step should be to scrape off as much of the mustard as possible with a dull knife or spoon. Be sure not to rub the stain, as this can spread it.
- Soak the stained area of garment in cold water for approximately 30 minutes.
- Prepare a paste with 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of warm water. Gently rub the paste into the stain.
- Rinse the area with cold water, taking care not to spread the stain.
- Again, soak stained area in cold water for 30 minutes.
- Apply a small amount of laundry detergent to the stain and use a brush to scrub it gently.
- Rinse out the detergent, then launder the garment as usual.
If the stain persists, repeat steps until it is gone. If all else fails, seek professional advice from a dry cleaner. Fortunately, many dry cleaners offer special services to remove stubborn mustard stains.
