Begin by rinsing the stained area with cold water. This will help remove some of the mud stains and leave the lace in better condition for the next step.
Next, use a mild detergent to pretreat the affected area. Gently rub detergent into the fabric and let it sit for five to ten minutes before rinsing again with cold water.
Fill a bowl with equal parts white vinegar and warm water and submerge the stained area of lace in the solution. Let it soak for one hour and then rinse with cold water.
Once you have pre-treated and soaked the stained area, you can put lace into the washing machine to finish job. Use the delicate cycle with a mild detergent and cold water. Allow the lace to air dry and it should be free of mud stains!
