Tencel is a type of fabric used in the production of clothing, bedding, and other items. Since it is a natural material, it is prone to staining with dirt or mud. Fortunately, mud stains can be removed from Tencel fabric without much difficulty.
Removing Mud Stains from Tencel
- Start by brushing off any excess dirt from the fabric. Do this gently to avoid pushing the mud deeper into the fabric.
- Mix a solution of gentle laundry detergent and warm water in a bowl or bucket.
- Soak stained fabric in the solution for an hour.
- Once fabric has been soaked, rinse it out with clean cool water.
- Lay fabric flat on a dry towel to air-dry.
Additional Tips
- Avoid using hot water, as it can set the stain further.
- Pre-treat the fabric by applying a small amount of laundry detergent directly onto the stain.
- If the stain still remains, try using a gentle bleaching agent.
- For tougher stains, you may need to take the garment to a professional dry cleaner.
