How to Clean Mud Stains From Swimming Pool Liners

  1. First, remove as much of the large debris and mud as possible from liner. Use a vacuum, skimmer, or brush to scoop out as much of the mud as you can. If the mud is wet, allow it to dry for several hours in the sun so it can be vacuumed up or brushed away.
  2. Once the majority of the mud has been removed, it’s time to start cleaning the pool liner. Fill a bucket with warm water and some mild detergent. Dip a soft cloth into bucket and wipe down the surface of the liner, carefully removing any remaining mud or dirt.
  3. After the stain has been removed, use a garden hose to spray off any excess detergent or dirt. Give the liner a thorough rinse to remove any residue.
  4. Once the liner is completely clean, dry it off with a towel so no new stains can settle. You may also want to use a hairdryer to further dry the area.

Preventing Mud Stains on Your Swimming Pool Liner

To prevent mud from settling on your swimming pool liner, take steps to reduce the amount of soil around the pool. This includes regularly trimming trees and shrubs that are close to the pool, as well as maintaining a proper drainage system. Additionally, you should check the chemical balance of your pool regularly to ensure water won’t be inviting for plants and insects.

Following these steps will help keep your pool looking spotless and inviting!
