The first step is to gently remove any mud that is still intact from fabric. Use a soft brush and brush off the excess mud. Make sure not to scrub too hard as this can damage the delicate fibers of the suede material.

Once all of the excess mud has been removed, mix together a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Dip a cloth into the solution and blot the stained area. Make sure to keep cloth damp but not soaking wet and to be very gentle when blotting the stain.

Once the stain has been blotted, use a dry cloth to dab and blot the area, this helps remove any remaining moisture. After area has dried, use a soft brush to raise the nap of the suede fabric. This will help bring the suede back to its original softness.

For tougher stains, use a specialized suede cleaner. Make sure to follow instructions included with the suede cleaner and not to over scrub, as this can damage the fabric.

With these simple steps, you can have your favorite suede item looking great again in no time.
